Spaces available for rent at the Museum in Sturgeon Bay offer use of a galley/catering kitchen and outdoor deck. Both large rooms connect to a central lobby offering additional seating capacity. Each space offers views of all the activity on Sturgeon Bay, from the waters of Green Bay to the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal.
Rent the 10th floor of the Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower to host an indoor party with 360 degree views of Sturgeon Bay from 110 feet above the water, and use the rooftop Baumgartner Observation Deck when Door County weather accommodates.
The newest room is the Captain’s Quarters, on the second floor of the Museum.

A laptop with HDMI ports, large flat-screen TVs in each room, high speed WIFI, microphone and speakers are available for use with rental.
Docent-led tours for your group are available with coordination with the rental coordinator prior to your event.

Parties and Showers: Less mess at home, and your guests can explore the museum as part of the fun!
Surprise Parties: Meet the guest of honor at the museum, and have your party and guests waiting in the Bridge Room. This is a unique surprise for a birthday, anniversary, holiday or special event!
Rehearsal dinner: Cater your rehearsal dinner in the Door County Maritime Museum’s beautiful new Captain’s Quarters, with its romantic view of the bay. Explore the interesting galleries and appreciate 11 Door County lighthouses and artifacts, shipbuilding through the years, model ships, engines and marine innovations.
Wedding reception: Use either room for your party and catered event. The outdoor deck overlooking Sturgeon Bay and our red tugboat John Purves, provides fantastic picture backdrops.
Classes, lectures, conferences, planning/visioning meetings, board meetings, product launches, cocktail parties, exclusive dinners, association meetings and retreats are even more ways to utilize these rental spaces.
Personal Photography Requests
(Wedding, Engagement, Senior portraits, Family, etc.)
For interior photo shoots, rates are $125 for a thirty-minute session or $200 for 2-hours or less. To schedule your personal photo shoot, contact the rental manager at pfunkhouser@dcmm.org. For exterior photo shoots, no forms or fees are necessary. However, the Museum asks that you please not interfere with any outdoor events hosted on the Museum grounds or block any building entrances. Exterior photo sessions are not permitted while a DCMM wedding or event is underway.
Non-Profit Rental Discount
Your non-profit group can rent the Bridge Room for a 50% discount, or the Captain’s Quarters for a discount, for events, board meetings, member receptions and other special events.
