If you’re looking for a fun and educational group activity, the Maritime Museum welcomes all types of groups. Public schools, scout troops, bus tours, friends groups…gather your crew and we’ll work with you to tailor a unique maritime experience. As a community anchor institution, the Door County Maritime Museum wishes to design exhibits and related programs to strengthen local connections and partnerships, and address community needs.
DCMM offers a cardboard regatta program for middle school students, along with the SeaPerch underwater remote-operated vehicle program. The cardboard regatta teaches engineering, problem-solving and teamwork, while SeaPerch provides students with a deeper understanding of marine science and technology.
Our Educational Programs Coordinator Andrea Stromeyer is ready to work with local and regional school districts to develop and launch educational outreach programs that align with Wisconsin state curricular guidelines and standards.
